‘Simply Gorgeous’ Vintage Farmhouse Cheddar noted as one of the ‘champions of the cheeseboard’
Wyke Farms, the UK’s largest independent cheese producer and milk processor, has achieved a ‘Best Buy’ award from esteemed consumer advice magazine Which? for its ‘Simply Gorgeous’ Vintage Farmhouse Cheddar. The award-winning Vintage Farmhouse Cheddar was also named in the magazine’s Top 5 Best Cheddars.
Wyke Farms ‘Simply Gorgeous’ Vintage Farmhouse Cheddar has a bold characterful taste and is made using Wyke Farm’s patriarch, Grandmother Ivy Clothier’s age-old recipe. To achieve this flavor, it is left to mature, undisturbed, for over 15 months. The testing panel praised its “hint of crunch and a good, fruity flavour” and after testing its aroma, taste and texture. Fifteen widely available premium vintage and extra mature cheddars were selected and tested by a panel of four judges in order to find the ‘champion of the cheeseboard’.
Wyke Farms will be sampling its ‘Simply Gorgeous’ Vintage Farmhouse Cheddar, along with the rest of its product range at a total of 19 national events across the country this summer.
