Yellow Montacute Park for weekly Saturday run
Arriving at Montacute House for the weekly parkrun on Saturday, the sun was shining and the whole of Montacute Park seemed yellow, filled with buttercups and high-vis jackets. Jason Scott kept up a 100% record as he crossed the line first in a time of 19m23 – his third first placed finish in three appearances. New sessions get footballers walking not running
A brand new football session is bringing together people of all ages and abilities to play the game in Yeovil. Walking football has been set up by South Somerset District Council, Bucklers Mead Leisure Centre and Somerset F.A in response to demand for sessions locally. Sam Wenden-de-Lira from the Healthy Lifestyles Team at the district council explains more about walking football. “The game is exactly the same as regular football, except you are not allowed to run.
