Yeovil in Bloom has been awarded Gold at this year’s South West in Bloom competition presentation. Community Shop set to open in Norton-sub-Hamdon after grant awarded
Norton-sub-Hamdon is set to benefit from a Community Shop after being awarded a grant by South Somerset District Council’s Area North Committee. A community grant to the sum of £9,346 was awarded on Wednesday’s (27 August) Committee meeting to Norton-sub-Hamdon Community Land Trust which will help towards the start-up costs of acquiring and operating the village post office and shop. 51 personal bests this week at the Yeovil Montacute parkrun!
The heavy overnight rain made way for what must have been ideal running conditions – given the 51 runners who managed to run personal bests this week at the Yeovil Montacute parkrun! This week there were 170 runners, of whom 38 were first timers and representatives of 22 different athletics clubs took part – of whom the 18 members of Yeovil Town RRC were the most numerous.
