The Octagon Theatre has once again been busy fundraising for good causes over the winter months. Working together towards a sustainable health service
South Somerset Together, the district’s Local Strategic Partnership will hold a health Assembly on Friday 22nd May, 9:00 – 13:00 at Long Sutton Golf Club, in Long Sutton, near Langport. This is an opportunity to discuss and gather views on how we can promote good health for all and use health and care services effectively, also looking at how and why access and experiences may vary across the district. Experts will lead the debate to discuss how we can all work together to create a sustainable health and social care system for the long term, highlighting both the service provider and patient perspectives. COLLEGE RAISES £1300 FOR HOSPITAL CT SCANNER APPEAL
Yeovil College staff past and present have donated three cheques to Yeovil District Hospital’s CT scanner appeal, totalling more than £1300. Over £680 came from sales of a popular charity cookbook. Called ‘Let’s Cook!’, the book features nearly 50 different recipes donated by members of staff at Yeovil College. They include delicious cakes and biscuits, yummy desserts and main courses.
