Yeovil Country Park’s new Centre has won a £1,500 Sustainable Watermark Award. The Award which supports water conservation will go towards installing various water saving products within the public toilets and volunteer wet room facilities. Trio of Green Flag Awards for District Council countryside sites
South Somerset District Council is celebrating a trio of Green Flag Awards for their countryside sites including Chard Reservoir, Ham Hill Country Park and Yeovil Country Park. It is the 9th year running that Ham Hill and Yeovil have received this award and the 5th year for Chard Reservoir. Ham Hill Country Park received their award in the form of a Green Heritage Award which recognises the historic importance of the site and that the site is being managed to protect its heritage features. Spare time is care time at Yeovil Country Park
As part of the V3 Project for Yeovil Country Park, consideration is being given to the ways in which residents of Yeovil and the surrounding villages could volunteer their time to help Yeovil Country Park, to make it an even better place to visit!
