South Somerset volunteers set to lead the way with new health walks

The popular Health Walk leader training day was fully booked and volunteers received information on everything they needed to know to lead a successful walk – including details on risk assessments, route planning, first aid and the benefits of exercise. Two new classes set to keep South Somerset residents active

IMG_0923Thanks to funding from Active South Somerset, two new classes in Milborne Port and South Petherton have been set up to keep South Somerset residents active. The Active South Somerset programme is aimed at improving opportunities for activities in the South Somerset District. Active Somerset helps with funding during a 12 week pilot session of the class. In Milborne Port Village Hall, a new Core & Flexibility class has started every Monday from 5.30pm – 6.30pm. Full story: Read more
