Somerset Rivers Authority creation welcomed by South Somerset District Council Leader
The creation of a Somerset Rivers Authority has been welcomed by South Somerset District Council’s Leader, Councillor Ric Pallister, after Environment Secretary Elizabeth Truss announced that the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (Defra) will provide £1.9 million in interim funding to enable the Somerset Rivers Authority (SRA) to be created in January 2015. Yeovil Bike Park takes a giant jump closer to reality
South Somerset District Council’s plans to make improvements to Lyde Park have taken a giant jump closer to reality thanks to a £5,000 Health and Wellbeing grant from Somerset County Councillor Tony Lock. South Somerset District Council (SSDC) is planning to develop an exciting new location for children, young people and adults to cycle and use bikes.
