South Somerset District Council (SSDC) is today taking action under the new Community Protection Notice regime contained in the Anti-social Behaviour, Crime and Policing Act 2014. Contractors working on behalf of SSDC are attending a site in Yeovil in order to take direct action to remove graffiti from a private wall at Kingston from 9:00am. 20 communities set to benefit from free Playdays
This summer 20 communities will come to life when South Somerset District Council brings free Playdays to towns and villages right across the district. From Wincanton to Combe St Nicholas and Henstridge to Long Sutton a wide range of exciting and fun activities will descend on each community. Yeovil shaping up for Innovative Healthy Lifestyles Project
Residents living in Yeovil are being encouraged to sign up to Community £s, the innovative weight loss project where losing weight directly benefits the community. The Community £s project has already successfully taken place in Milford, Westfield, Chard and Crewkerne with more than 150 people losing weight and making differences to their lifestyles.
