Avon and Somerset police are the latest public sector partner to move to the Shape Mendip public services hub in Shepton Mallet. Approximately 15 police staff are now based at the hub, joining other leading public service providers such as Mendip District Council, Somerset County Council, Shepton Mallet Town Council, Capita and The Landscape Group. More public service providers are expected to relocate to the hub in the coming months. New Championship Show promises record poultry entries
Poultry entries are likely to reach record levels at this year’s Royal Bath & West Show, with the launch of the Poultry Club’s inaugural Summer National Show. The poultry section has almost tripled in size over the past decade, and with entries set to reach nearly 1200, exhibitors will be in for some intense competition. “The sheer variety and quality of poultry on show will be tremendous,” says Paul Meatyard, chief poultry steward at the Royal Bath & West Show. Government Minister officially opens the Shape Mendip Hub
A new public services hub based at the heart of the Mendip district has been officially opened by Oliver Letwin MP, Minister for Government Policy. The Shape Mendip Hub in Shepton Mallet has brought a number of leading public service providers together on to one site. It is a groundbreaking initiative that puts customers at the heart of public service delivery and aims to provide more accessible, streamlined public services while saving the council millions of pounds that can be ploughed back into frontline services.
