Following on from the success of the first Shepton Mallet Sunday Market in November, a regular Sunday market is now launching in the town. The huge success of the November market and the positive knock-on effect to shops in the High Street, has encouraged Helen Reader, Mendip District Council, the market organisers, and Shepton Town Council to make this a regular event. On Saturday 10th December, Father Christmas will be visiting Kilver Court’s annual Christmas Fair. Father Christmas will be in his very special grotto in the gardens with his reindeer Rudolf, ready to meet and greet children and give each child a special Christmas gift. High ranking politicians nailed their colours to the mast at the Royal Bath & West Show on Wednesday (1 June), with a Brexit debate kicking off proceedings at the CLA breakfast. Visitors were treated to a head-to-head between Neil Parish MP and Jacob Rees-Mogg MP, concluding with a second bout between Defra minister George Eustice and Rebecca Pow MP. Full story: Read more
