Ring tailed lemur mum Hasina with her twins at Longleat twoA rescued ring tailed lemur has given birth to twins at Longleat Safari & Adventure Park. The twins, who were born last week, are making the most of the mild spring weather as they enjoy a spot of sunbathing with mum Hasina. Longleat House the Evil QueenLongleat House in Wiltshire has been transformed into a festive wonderland to celebrate Christmas (Friday 13th Dec – Saturday 4th Jan excl. Christmas Day). The elegant rooms of the Elizabethan stately home have become home to a host of familiar pantomime and fairy-tale characters, all eager to welcome visitors in to their magical realms. Aladdin, complete with palm trees, lamp and flying carpet, is encamped in the Ante Library, while the Evil Queen from Snow White has taken up temporary residence in the Red Library. GORILLA GOES OUT ON A LIMB IN ACORN HUNT

Alf the gorilla enjoys an acorn on a branch at  Longleat Safari& Adventure Park PIC Ian TurnerFeaturing more than a dozen mature trees in an extensive outdoor grassed area, the spacious gorilla enclosure overlooks Longleat’s Half Mile Lake and utilises natural boundaries wherever possible without the barriers of bars or glass. In addition to the existing trees, keepers have installed a selection of outdoor climbing logs and frames.
