Local flower arrangers from Somerset, Devon and Dorset celebrated The Queen’s 90th birthday with two workshops entitled “Time for Tea” at Combe St Nicholas Village Hall near Chard, Somerset. The ladies learnt how to make lovely vintage and contemporary floral designs in tea-cups, all linked to the colour of their tableware. Local Ladies Make Spring Posies Galore
The Spring season was recently welcomed with enthusiasm by ladies from all over Somerset, Devon and Dorset at two flower arranging workshops held at Combe St Nicholas Village Hall near Chard. A huge variety of seasonal flowers and foliage were used to make beautiful Spring posies. Devo bid to boost prosperity for South West goes to Government
Council chiefs and business leaders in Devon and Somerset have submitted their ‘prospectus for productivity’ to the Government in a bid to win more powers to boost jobs and growth. They say they want a ‘devolution revolution’ to improve the lives of people in Devon and Somerset. The prospectus has been submitted to the Government after being separately endorsed by every local authority in the two counties. Full story: Read more
