Give your Christmas this year a heart-warming start by visiting our Tree Festival at Curry Rivel Chapel (United Reformed Church) in Wiltown, TA10 0JF. All the trees displayed will have been prepared by local groups, clubs, firms and companies. Admission is free of charge but there will be an opportunity for visitors to make donations towards the following charities during the weekend: Langport Memory Cafe’ (at The Angel) and the Children’s Society. Somerset Animal Sanctuary Prepares to Open New Charity Shop
The official opening of Ferne Animal Sanctuary’s new Charity shop in Bow Street, Langport, Somerset will take place on Saturday, 4thApril 2015. Chairman of Langport Town Council, Julia Gadd, will be cutting the ribbon at 10am. 19 Year Old Sets off Around the World…On a Unicycle!
Ed Pratt, a 19 year old from Curry Rivel in Somerset, sets off this Saturday for an epic journey around the world – on a unicycle. This has never been done before and is a planned 18-month trip covering some 18,000 miles. And he’s aiming to raise £7,500 for charity whilst he’s at it.
