The Bishop’s Palace in Wells, Somerset will be filled with Floral Art this autumn as it is set to host the NAFAS South West Area Floral Arts Awards from 9th-11th September 2016.
The rooms of the medieval Palace will be filled with a stunning array of Floral Art from the 40 South West area flower clubs on the theme of “ANCIENT & MODERN” to complement this unique setting.
The competition will be made up of 16 different classes of arrangements, including junior classes, with wide ranging titles from ‘Camelot’ to ‘Flower Power’ and many others in between!
The Palace will also be putting on a large selection of stalls & shopping opportunities alongside the displays, with gifts, food, tools and materials, many with a distinctly floral theme.
To inspire the younger visitors, there will also be fun floral sessions for children on offer.
Tickets will be priced from £7 to £9 and will include admission into the Palace and 14 acres of landscaped, RHS accredited gardens.
The competition entries will be judged in private on Thursday 8th September and the displays will then be open to the public on Friday 9th September.
Trophies will be presented by The Right Reverend Ruth Worsley, Bishop of Taunton on Sunday 11th September at 4pm.
