South Somerset District Council has teamed up with Somerset Business Agency (SBA) and partners from across the county to deliver a free event to help anyone thinking about, planning or having just started a business in South Somerset.
The “Dare to Dream” Business and Enterprise Start-up Event is being held on Thursday 7th March at The Yeovil Innovation Centre Barracks Close, Copse Road, Yeovil, Somerset, BA22 8RN.
The event will run from 10 am to 4 pm and is open to anyone interested in starting up or growing their own business. You will talk to business professionals who can inform, inspire, motivate and help you realise your full potential. You will meet and network with like-minded individuals who can share their business knowledge and experience.

The event will provide anyone interested or in the process of setting up access to financial, legal, and business advice, as well as training, insurance, IT, web and printing advice. Information will also be provided on accessing funding – all you need to get your business off the ground successfully! Partners include Pardoes Solicitors, Ivan Rendall and Co Chartered Accountants, Pitman Training, The Federation of Small Businesses (FSB), Clear Sky Web Design, James Brown and Sons, Monkey Puzzle Computers and Brightsea Print Group.
Guest speakers at this event include Helen Lacey of Red Berry Recruitment, Ben Gower of Perspicuity, Jane Adkins of A Head for PR and Helen Wooldridge of Cuddledry.
David Julian – Economic Development Manager at SSDC said “The Dare to Dream event is supported by South Somerset District Council as part our commitment to providing dedicated support for new and established businesses. A range of business support organisations will be on hand to provide the most up to date advice including, The Fredericks Foundation, The Community Council for Somerset and HM Revenue and Customs.”
