RNAS Yeovilton Air Day 2016 will be the public’s last opportunity to see the Westland built Lynx maritime attack helicopters in action at their home event. The show’s Lynx Farewell salute includes two special flying items: an emotive formation flypast and one last Maritime Role Demo. Joining them in Air Day’s five hour flying display will be small ships’ helicopters past and present, depicting three generations of rotary capability at sea. Full story: Read more
High ranking politicians nailed their colours to the mast at the Royal Bath & West Show on Wednesday (1 June), with a Brexit debate kicking off proceedings at the CLA breakfast. Some unusually good pieces of collectable ‘Mouseman’ furniture are to be sold by Lawrences Auctioneers of Crewkerne. The celebrated workshop, started by Robert Thompson in Kilburn, Yorkshire, has produced hand crafted furniture from the 1920’s until the present day. They are best known for the distinctive carved ‘Mouse’ signature that is found on every piece. Full story: Read more
