There are two categories in the design a villain competition; one for young people between the ages of 11-16 and a junior category, which is open to children between the ages of 4-10.

The winning characters in each category will become enemies of the infamous ‘Flip Out Ninja’, who appears on graffiti walls at Flip Out trampoline parks across the country.

The design competition will be judged by the Flip Out management team and the street artist behind the impressive graffiti walls at the new £1.2m arena. Judges will be on the lookout for creativity and flair and a strong villain character with impressive super powers.

As well as having their creative work turned into a life-sized villain to go on display at the new Flip Out, the winner in each category will also get a goody bag and a free trip for their entire class to the new trampoline park when it opens.

Jeremy Appiah, general manager at Flip Out Somerset, said:

“We would really like young people in the local area to play a part in the opening of the new Flip Out trampoline park, which will be the first in Somerset. That is why we are giving youngsters the opportunity to have their character featured in the arena when we open our doors next month.

“There are some fab prizes up for grabs so I would urge any budding young street artists to get drawing. Young people can be very imaginative and we are really looking forward to seeing what ninja villains they will create to go up against the Flip Out Ninja.”

The 40,000 sq ft Flip Out arena will feature a fun packed trampoline zone, which includes 75 inter-linked trampolines, two Olympic sized trampolines and a 20 metre tumble track. There will also be a ninja warrior course, battle beams, foam pits, slam dunk, a dodgeball court and a dedicated free-running area.

There is even a separate trampolining and free-running zone specially created for under 5s as well as two party rooms and a cafe.

To be in with a chance of winning, children are being invited to design a villain on an A4 piece of paper and return it to Schools Competition, Flip Out, Chelston Business Park, Castle Road, Wellington, TA21 9JQ or email a photo of the design to [email protected] All entries must include a name, age and contact details and must be received by 30 June 2017. The copyright of the winning design will be transferred to Flip Out.
