Castle Cary Fire Station has recently had an extension and been refurbished. The refurbishments and extension have allowed the station to enable the now ‘lecture room’ to be used as a community room for the town and surrounding area.
The open day will allow the public to have a look around the station and fire engine, take part in fire safety advice talks and enjoy BBQ and refreshments throughout the day.
There will also be a kitted out VW Transporter van with driving simulator, Huge TV and speaker system along with professional photographer Graham Cox on hand to take photos of kids and adults alike in the fire engine (or for the ladies a photo with a firefighter in uniform!).
