Children at Mama Bear’s Day Nursery and Pre-Schools across Somerset have been pulling out all the stops for Children in Need this year.
A series of activities have taken place at the nursery groups settings in Taunton and Yeovil, including a cake-off raffle, the raisin box challenge and a special Children in Need treasure hunt .
The children were delighted when Pudsey himself made an appearance to thank them for their fundraising efforts.
Bev Driffield from Mama Bear’s Day Nursery said: “We are great supporters of Children in Need every year and each one of our nurseries is taking part in their own unique activities to raise money for the charity.
“It’s a great event for the children to get involved in and, of course, a fantastic cause to support. Last year we raised almost £6000 so we’re hoping to get to that fantastic figure again.”
The family-run Mama Bear’s Day Nurseries provide care for children from three months to five years. There are now 22 settings across Bristol, Somerset and Devon all of which will be raising money for Children in Need.
Mama Bear’s Day Nursery is a family-run business. The Day Nurseries are aimed at providing children with their first vital level of education to give them a head-start when they start at primary school.
