Flautist Sarah Bennington and harpist Fontane Liang will give a recital in south Somerset on Thursday June 5th as part of the 8th Hinton St. George Festival. They will play pieces by a range of composers including Bach and Mozart in the beautiful village Church of St. George with its fine acoustics.
Sarah Bennington plays regularly with such orchestras as the London Philharmonic, the BBC National Orchestra of Wales, the City of Birmingham Orchestra and the Orchestra of Scottish Opera. Sarah also held the position of principal flute in the Orquestra do Norte in Portugal.
Fontane Liang has played with the London Sinfonietta and at the Royal Opera House, has
toured Japan with the Pacific Music Festival Orchestra and performed with Germany’s MusikFabrik. Fontane is currently principal harpist with the Octandre Ensemble.
