Sherborne Chamber of Trade and Commerce has launched a new website www.sherbornechamber.co.uk – built by a member for members. The banner heading for the new website is a photograph of some of the Chamber’s 140 members, a few holding the tools of their trade, taken in front of Sherborne Abbey. The image, which captures the diversity of businesses within the town, was taken by local photographer Millie Pilkington who generously gave her services to support the Chamber’s new venture. District Council cuts its costs with photovoltaic panels on buildings
South Somerset District Council has cut its costs by a massive £26,000 in one year thanks to installing photovoltaic panels on four of its buildings.
Since installation of the first photovoltaic system in November 2011, South Somerset District Council has generated 77,862kWh of power, made £26,677.87 in revenue and saved over 42.1 tonnes of CO2. Full Story: Read More
