The Hill Brush Company Ltd (HBC) is one of the largest UK based manufacturers of brushware and hygienic cleaning tools. They have been manufacturing the highest quality products since 1922 and are the home of leading brands, Salmon® Traditional Quality and Salmon® Hygiene Technology.
Hill Brush has been based on Woodlands Road in Mere, Wiltshire since 1936 and as the business has grown and personnel has increased, they are close to capacity at their current site. As part of their future growth plans, Hill Brush has designed a purpose built, 9,000m2 factory development, including a Visitor Centre with Shop, Café/Restaurant and Museum to entice the local and wider community with quality products and to give an insight into their heritage.
Managing Director, Philip Coward said; “We are really looking forward to creating this building, which we have been planning for many years. Our new development will not only allow us to expand as a business, but will keep us at the heart of a community which is home to generations of Hill Brush employees”.
The new factory will house their state of the art Moulding Division, where colour-coded cleaning tools are manufactured. Hill Brush has invested heavily in new machinery and has a dedicated product development team, who will use the new Training Facility to educate new and existing customers as to the features and benefits of their products.
Commercial Director, Charles Coward said, “We are very excited to be able to give the public a taste of our long history with our interactive Museum within the Visitor Centre. The build should take approximately 12 months to complete and we are looking forward to providing a modern, welcoming facility for everyone to enjoy.”
The Hill Brush development will bring new employment opportunities to the area and will be a great environment in which to work. This family owned and run business has big ambition and Norwood Park will be a fitting backdrop to their future plans.
