The HFT (Home Farm Trust) Christmas Fair at Wincanton Memorial Hall on the 19th November has announced a record result: final figures for the Fair reveal it raised over £13,000 for the charity that cares for the learning disabled. Together with a most generous donation from a private foundation of £15,000, a total of £28,000 will be remitted to HFT.

During the Fair, its Chairman, the Countess de Salis, was presented with the charity’s 2016 Outstanding Contribution of Fundraising Award. Later Carolyn de Salis said, ‘It is a tribute to the amazing work done by all our Stall Holders. Everything sold at the Fair is donated and costs are kept to a minimum. The high standard of our stalls accounts for the Fair’s popularity We are all thrilled to be able to support this much needed and very worthy cause.’
