Over 40 tourist attractions will gather at South Somerset District Council’s free tourism literature exchange on Tuesday 8 March 2016, which will take place at Haynes International Motor Museum from 10am-12.30pm.
Tourism businesses from pubs, cafés, hotel, accommodation and visitor services, can come to the Literature exchange and;
- Collect supplies of tourist attraction leaflets to give your visitors for the 2016 season
- Network with colleagues working in local attractions and other tourism businesses
- Meet South Somerset District Council’s Tourism/Economic Development Team
The event is a great opportunity for the tourism industry to get together, providing a one-stop shop for accommodation providers, tourist information centres and group organisers to pick up supplies of new 2015 season leaflets for their visitors and to find out direct from the attractions, about their latest facilities, prices and offers.
Haynes International Motor Museum has also generously extended an invitation to tourism businesses attending the Literature Exchange, to take the opportunity to visit the museum free of charge. The invitation will be valid for the 8th March 2016 only.
Deputy Leader Councillor Jo Roundell Greene, Portfolio Holder for Environment and Economic Development said, “The Literature Exchange is a great opportunity for tourism businesses to really show off what they can offer excursion organisers, or can provide to local businesses in the form of literature for their customers. We have some fantastic venues for people to visit in our area and events such as these offer them the opportunity to get details of their business across to local pubs, cafes, hotels and visitor services”.
