The Cattistock Countryside Show Committee have announced that they will be holding the 55th Cattistock Countryside Show on Sunday 6th August, 9am to 5pm. There are lots of new elements to the show again this year, which are hoped to appeal to the local community including vintage tractors, classic cars, skittles, traditional fete and bar games, tug of war, plant stalls, wellie wangin’, local arts & crafts, clothing trade stands and a live band. College student closes in on £5,000 charity target for children’s hospital
Seventeen year old Tom Winchester from Bridgwater is gearing up for his final charity event as he aims to hit his £5,000 fundraising target for Bristol Royal Hospital for Children (BRHC). Tom’s ‘Written in the Stars’ charity concert, featuring a live band, West End performers and a drag queen, will be held on Friday 1 September, 7:30pm at Bridgwater Town Hall. It is the finale of a fundraising journey that began last year to celebrate Tom’s 10 year anniversary of recovering from a life-threatening brain tumour. Full story: Read more
