LONGLEAT’S FESTIVAL OF LIGHT MAKES SPECTACULAR RETURN

Longleat’s hugely successful Festival of Light will be brightening up even the darkest of wintry days when it makes a welcome return from November 5th (Daily from December 1st). The Wiltshire estate was the first place in the UK to hold such an event back in 2014 and remains the biggest; with thousands of giant Chinese lanterns transforming the estate into a winter wonderland. Pip Utton live at Gillingham School Theatre, 19th October

‘The master of the one-man show’ – The Guardian. Fresh from The Edinburgh Fringe Festival, where Pip performed four of his incredibly successful shows from his repertoire, he brings ‘Adolf’ to Gillingham School theatre on Thursday 19th October starts 7.30pm.  Described by The Scotsman as “Terrifying, searing, transfixing” and BBC Radio 4 said “If you only see one show, see Adolf”. Sarah Raven and The Cutting Garden comes to Brimsmore Gardens

Award-winning author, gardener, teacher and cook, Sarah Raven, will host a talk at Brimsmore Gardens in Yeovil on Saturday 21 October at 7pm. Part of this year’s Yeovil Literary Festival, which takes place from Tuesday 17 October until Sunday 29 October, Sarah will delve into her years of experience teaching gardening, flower arranging and cookery at her farm in East Sussex, while taking the audience through her bestselling gardening book, The Cutting Garden.
