Steeleye Span are fast approaching their 50th anniversary, with a work rate to put many younger artists to shame. The bands’ eighth album in twelve years – 2016’s Dodgy Bastards – saw them return to the folk tales and characters that have always been at the heart of the Steeleye sound. Yeovilton Military Wives Choir Home For Christmas Tour, Wells Cathedral: 24 November
The Yeovilton Military Wives Choir are delighted to be part of the Military Wives Choir ‘Home for Christmas’ Tour 2017. They will be combining with Taunton and Lyneham Military Wives Choirs to come together and perform on the night and they are really excited to be teaming up with them to show what the Military Wives Choirs can do! They will be singing at Wells Cathedral on Friday 24 November at 7.30pm; the audience can expect to hear plenty of the choir’s festive favourites, with songs from their ‘Home for Christmas’ album which will be available to purchase on the night. The Home for Christmas tour celebrates the Military Wives Choirs family, bringing ladies from across our choirs together at this special time of year to stand stronger together and express themselves through song. AIR DAY DEBUT FOR LITHUANIAN AIR FORCE
RNAS Yeovilton International Air Day is delighted to announce the participation of two aircraft types from debuting nation Lithuania. The Baltic state’s air force will send an Aero L-39 Albatros jet trainer and a Mil Mi-8T utility helicopter for static display.
