Kingsbury Episcopi and Stembridge Remembrance Day Parade takes place on Sunday 10th November at 10.00am. Parade stepping off from Kingsbury Shop, all welcome! Veterans, serving service personnel. clubs and associations are invited to march from the shop to the green for the last post and reveille, then on to St Martin’s Church. All those wishing to march should muster at the shop at 09.45am (free tea and coffee provided for those marching). Remembrance Service and wreath laying at St Martin’s Church 10.30am. The Best of Brue Valley Charity Concert, Friday 15th November at Ansford Academy
Ansford Academy have kindly provided the venue for a fund-raising Concert organised by Brue Valley Rotary Club to help a new project to support young adults who have grown up in Bulgarian Children’s Homes. The event, sponsored by Old Mill accountants and financial planners, will feature performances by the Pilgrim Singers, the Castle Cary Choir and performers from the school, all of whom are generously giving their time to support this international cause. New weekly market for Crewkerne
A Halloween carnival theme and street entertainment including buskers, face painting and a stilt walker will celebrate the launch of Crewkerne’s new,weekly Wednesday market. Starting Wednesday 30 October (9am – 1pm) the market will have a new home in the Market Square next to the Town Hall, with plenty of space for a variety of stalls including fresh fruit and vegetables, fish, bread, cakes, tools and craft items.
