Somerset Guild of Weavers Spinners and Dyers will be holding their annual Fleece Fair at Hatch Beauchamp Village Hall on Saturday 21st June 2014. Glastonbury Festival Granted Licence
One of the world’s biggest festivals has secured a licence for the next ten years – only the second time it’s been granted without a public hearing. From this year Glastonbury Festival will be able to use its new premises licence to hold the event at Worthy Farm, Pilton, Somerset, until 2024. In the past, Glastonbury Festival’s licences have been subject to scrutiny in a public hearing because of objections from the public or concerns from those with an interest in the safety of the event such as the police, fire or ambulance services. Sport Relief is coming to Yeovil!
It’s not just the public who will be taking on the fundraising challenge. Daring Davina McCall went the extra mile in the BT Sport Relief Challenge: Davina – Beyond Breaking Point. Davina travelled across the UK, all under her own steam – and all in the name of Sport Relief. By running, swimming and cycling for seven solid days, Davina hit the streets – and waters – of the UK in a bid to raise as much cash as she can and inspire the great British public to take on their own challenges, sporty or not!
