Arriving at Montacute House for the weekly parkrun on Saturday, the sun was shining and the whole of Montacute Park seemed yellow, filled with buttercups and high-vis jackets. Jason Scott kept up a 100% record as he crossed the line first in a time of 19m23 – his third first placed finish in three appearances. Flautist Sarah Bennington and harpist Fontane Liang will give a recital in south Somerset on Thursday June 5th as part of the 8th Hinton St. George Festival. They will play pieces by a range of composers including Bach and Mozart in the beautiful village Church of St. George with its fine acoustics. Sarah Bennington plays regularly with such orchestras as the London Philharmonic, the BBC National Orchestra of Wales, the City of Birmingham Orchestra and the Orchestra of Scottish Opera.
