Litter art set to raise environmental awareness
Creating art from litter found on the streets of Yeovil may sound like a load of rubbish, but that’s what the Yeovil in Bloom team are doing to raise important environmental awareness issues in the town. On Monday 7 July at 10am in Yeovil Borough, Yeovil in Bloom staff will be creating Rubbish Art with items of litter that have been found in the environment that residents and visitors visit regularly. Tennis has a smashing future in South Somerset
Young tennis players were dreaming of Wimbledon Centre Court when they visited Martock Tennis Club for the South Somerset Schools’ Mini Red Tennis Red Final on Thursday 19 June. The competition was the end of a long journey to get to the final, with hundreds of young people from South Somerset taking part in ‘cluster’ competitions over the last two months.
