“A night of great music” from South Somerset Choral Society

SSCS CHOIR, BarringtonOn Saturday 15th November, South Somerset Choral Society performed an evening of music by renowned French composers to an enthusiastic audience at St.Mary’s Church in Chard. Accompanied by an orchestra and four soloists, the choir of almost 100 choristers under the baton of Director Tim Donaldson gave a memorable performance of works by Gounod, Faure and Franck.  The music was chosen to reflect the mood of remembrance on the centenary of the start of the Great War.
