A major new outdoor sports campus could be established in Wells thanks to a groundbreaking agreement between Mendip District Council and leading sports clubs in the city. Mendip District Council’s Cabinet is due to consider the proposals at its meeting on Monday 11th November. SSDC awards £10,000 grant towards the cost of a new community pre-school in Somerton
Area North Committee has approved a grant of £10,000 to be awarded to Somerton Roundabout Pre-School towards the cost of a replacement pre-school building, meaning local families will benefit for years to come. ART EXHIBITION AT BRUTON SCHOOL FOR GIRLS
Bruton School for Girls is holding an art exhibition to showcase the artwork created by its students, as part of Somerset Arts Week. The Bruton School for Girls Art Exhibition will run until Saturday 5th October and includes an inspiring selection of drawings, paintings, photography, textiles and mixed media. As well artworks created by current students under the guidance of the Art Design and Technology teachers, Brian Wyatt and Jess La Trobe Bateman, the exhibition also features the work of former pupils.
