RNLI Michaelmas Fair 26/27 October 2017 at Port Regis School
The 12th annual RNLI Michaelmas Fair is on 26-27 October at Port Regis School. For 2017, 100+ exhibitors providing great shopping in this wonderful venue! The Beckford Bottle Shop is running the bar, Bird and Carter from Wilton is bringing their amazing farmhouse café and espresso machine too, then outside we will have Big Bang Pizza, New Forest Steak Burgers and Pure Punjabi all with their delicious “street” food. £5 entry to the venue, under 16s free. VINTAGE SCIENTIFIC EQUIPMENT FROM A PRIVATE COLLECTOR IN SHERBORNE TO BE SOLD
A vast range of vintage scientific equipment from a private collector in Sherborne is to be sold by Lawrences of Crewkerne on 6th September 2017. Mark Deavin, a former RAF technician who later worked for the Plessey Marine Research Unit, started collecting scientific instruments in the mid-1940s and has since built up an enormous array of items including mineral tubes, Van de Graaf generators and all kinds of specialist electrical measuring devices.
