South Somerset District Council is hosting a business breakfast in Crewkerne on Thursday 16 July to help the local economy flourish.
The business breakfast is an opportunity to network, to find out about funding opportunities and subsidised business support. It is also a chance to explore how your business needs and opinions can help the district council create the environment for businesses to excel.
Successful businesses are an essential part of the community and South Somerset District Council is keen to work with local businesses to help build a stronger economy.
There will be representatives available to speak to from the following organisations:
- Heart of Wessex – EU grants for small businesses and organisations
- Somerset Business Agency – providers of business advice and training
- Cosmic – IT training for small rural businesses
- South Somerset District Council’s Business Support Officer
As well as existing businesses in Crewkerne, the event is also open to anyone in the area who is thinking about starting a new business.
Councillor Jo Roundell Greene, Deputy Leader of South Somerset District Council and Portfolio Holder for Environment & Economic Development said, “We are always keen to encourage new businesses to fulfil their potential and events such as the business breakfast will enable owners to network with others that have succeeded. Seeking help for a business can be stressful so mornings such as this help to reduce the stress of setting up something new. It also gives the district council the opportunity to ensure we are creating the right economic environment within South Somerset”.
The event takes place at the Henhayes Centre, South Street Car Park, Crewkerne from 7.30am to 9:00am on Thursday 16 July. Free pastries, coffee and tea will be available. To ensure there is plenty of breakfast for everyone, please book a place by email [email protected] or telephone 01460 260423 or 01460 260449.
