The Chandos Society of Artists opens their exhibition season with its 52nd Spring Exhibition at Bridgwater Arts Centre 4-28 April.
At a FREE Private View on Friday April 7, 5.00pm–7.00pm you can meet the artists, enjoy a glass of wine and purchase any of the works at a special, one-off 10% discount.
Chairman of the Society Ken Church said “We have several new members exhibiting this year and their work is superb. Some of our professional members are producing work of real quality, usually found only in bespoke galleries in city centres. Somerset should be proud of its artistic talent and our Society is delighted to support them and show their work to the public”.
Since 1962 the members have been delighting art lovers with their work and this year new members, both professional and gifted amateurs, will be exhibiting at the Spring Exhibition for the first time. Their work covers the whole spectrum of styles and subjects of the visual arts and includes sculpture, ceramics, prints, fabric and photography as well as the traditional oil and watercolour paintings.
The Gallery at Bridgwater Arts Centre has just gone through extensive refurbishment and with their newly laid-out Secret Garden they welcome all art lovers to come and view the art in these pleasant surroundings.
The FREE exhibition is open Tuesday-Friday 10am – 3pm. Bridgwater Arts Centre, 11-13 Castle Street, Bridgwater, TA6 3DD.
