Yeovil-based Brimsmore Gardens is among the Garden Centre Association’s (GCA) Wales & West regional award-winners once again this year, picking up first place and a Certificate of Merit in the Environmental Opportunities category. Brimsmore Gardens’ latest award follows the GCA’s round of unannounced annual inspections earlier in the year and recognise the continuous improvements made at the centre in areas relating to its environmental impact on the wider community.
Representing nearly 200 garden centres nationwide, the GCA’s inspection programme is designed to help members achieve high standards in areas such as customer service and plant quality, sharing information so that industry benchmarks can be established, met and surpassed.
Adam Wallis, manager at Brimsmore Gardens, explains; “It means a great deal to gain such recognition from the Garden Centre Association, as the team at Brimsmore Gardens works tirelessly to achieve exemplary standards across the board. The Gardens Group’s environmental ethos is always at the front of our minds while developing new initiatives, so it’s a very rewarding to have things like our solar panels, plastic pot recycling and community involvement rewarded by the GCA.”
