Blackmore Vale Lions President Ian Simpson presented a cheque for £2000 to Margaret Hannibal, CEO of Mosaic, at their Headquarters in Milborne St Andrew on Thursday 7th July 2016. Other Lions in the photograph are Geoff Nash, Phil Bennett and George Wagland.
Mosaic is a child centred service offering a pathway of support for bereaved children, young people and their families. Mosaic also provides support for those young people who are facing the death of a parent or loved one. Support is achieved in several ways including Activity Days, Social Events, Training for professionals and agencies working with children and young people and also includes a Residential weekend programme that allows them to meet others to share experiences and more importantly to have fun.
The Blackmore Vale Lions are very pleased to be able to present this cheque to this very worthwhile charity as this type of beneficial aid fits exactly into the type of service to the local community that Lions Clubs around the world take great pleasure in supporting.
