Visitors to one of Yeovil’s most popular Country Parks can now dazzle at an amazing piece of artwork that has been completed over the summer. As part of the V3 Involve Visit Volunteer, Heritage Lottery Funded Project at Yeovil Country Park, a fantastic mural has been painted on a concrete covered stretch of wall alongside the current cycleway which follows the original route of the former railway line, adjacent to the site of the old Hendford Halt Station (where B&M now stands). Local ladies celebrate summer dining
It was time to raise a glass or two at a recent Summer Dining flower arranging workshop held at Combe St Nicholas Village Hall, near Chard in Somerset. With great enthusiasm and an abundance of beautiful roses, ladies from Chard, Ilminster, Wadeford, Combe St Nicholas, Yeovil and Axminster learnt how to make three designs for their summer dining room tables. Milestone membership for Frome Writers’ Collective
AFTER ONLY THREE YEARS, Frome Writers’ Collective is celebrating its 100th member, widely acclaimed blues artist and lyricist Eddie Martin. Eddie, who lives in Frome with his wife, artist Nicky Knowles who has also joined the Collective, has spent 25 years touring the world and has kept detailed journals of his visits to the 30 countries he has played in either as a solo artist or as band leader.
